An international authority on sports finance, who is also a University of Oregon graduate, will serve as dean of the UO's Charles H. Lundquist College of Business (LCB), Provost and Senior Vice President James Bean recently announced.

Morgen named associate dean of the graduate school

Sandra Morgen, a former University of Oregon research center director and professor of anthropology, has been named associate dean of the graduate school.

Morgen, who has been professor of women's studies at Penn State University since 2006, will return to the UO this fall to work with the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies and with Marian Friestad, the vice provost for graduate studies.

Kyr's piece debuts with new hospital

The University of Oregon Trumpet Ensemble performed a new fanfare by UO music professor Robert Kyr at the RiverBend Hospital earlier this summer. PeaceHealth commissioned the piece for the opening of the RiverBend facility.
